A faith grounded
in the Scriptures.
One God. His Son, Jesus Christ. The hope of resurrection and a coming Kingdom on earth.
This is a short introduction to the beliefs presented by Christadelphians NZ. The linked passages are the starting point for examining each statement.
The Bible
The inspired Scriptures are our authority for faith and life.
One God
The Father is the one God, creator of all. His Spirit is his power and presence.
Jesus Christ
Jesus is God’s Son, born of Mary through the Holy Spirit. He shared our mortal nature, yet never sinned.
Salvation through Christ
Through his obedient life, sacrificial death and resurrection, God provides forgiveness and deliverance from sin and death.
Faith and baptism
We respond to the gospel with faith, repentance and immersion into Christ, continuing in love and obedience.
Resurrection and judgment
Human beings are mortal. Christ will raise and judge those responsible before God, giving the faithful immortal life.
The coming Kingdom
Jesus will return to fulfil God’s promises, reign on earth and bring God’s purpose to completion.
Faithful discipleship
Christ calls us to truth, peace, holiness and love. Fellowship involves shared faith and responsibility to correct persistent error.
Read the Birmingham Amended Statement of Faith, together with its linked Commandments of Christ and Doctrines to be Rejected, for a fuller historic formulation. This summary is not a replacement for that document or a claim to speak for every Christadelphian fellowship.
Our Bible studies develop these beliefs and address common questions. Our fellowship study explains our argument about shared responsibility.
